Letter to the Editor: Len Wass Invites Residents to Get Involved with Park District Issues

I wish to thank the thousands of Oswegoland voters who cast their vote for me on Election Day for Oswegoland Park District Commissioner.  I also wish to thank countless friends, family, and fellow citizens who worked tirelessly on my behalf during the campaign.  Without all of your help and support I could not have been successful.  The voters made it clear to all, that they want the Park District to embark on a new financial direction.

My election success is very humbling, and reminds me of campaign commitments made to each and every one of you.  During the campaign I pledged to cut wasteful spending, cut user fees (especially to children and seniors), cut taxes, and bring about a fiscally responsible culture to the Park District.  I shall not forget this pledge, and will do my very best to carry it out.

As I also said during the campaign, there are many programs, activities, and facilities of our Park District that should be maintained and continued.  We need to ensure that such services are being provided to citizens at an attractive cost.

I will be seated at the May 26 Park District Board meeting, and invite anyone interested to attend.  Moreover, I would hope that no citizen withholds their input to the Park District Board, and encourage all Oswegoland residents to attend Board meetings, and to contact me by phone or email at anytime. My phone is 630-554-9386 and email is wcginc@aol.com
