Letter to the Editor: Park District Spending Taxpayers into the Poorhouse

I thank Sal Barocio and Len Wass for bringing the very wasteful spending of the Oswego Park District to our attention. 

I believe it is nothing short of scandalous that in this time of economic depression,  their spending is likely one of the highest in the nation. I wonder why the Park District gets so much (attention in the media,) bragging about all the progams and expenditures they are making, when actually, they seem to know little more than how to spend Oswego Park District taxpayers into the poorhouse? 

I am retired and live on a street where the Park District is spending over $1 million per acre to acquire good homes despite our neighborhood's objections presented to the Board. 

The current Board needs to go.  I am voting for Barocio, Wass and White.
