Man Dies Of Severe Burn Injuries: Oswego Police
Police said the 53-year-old's death does not appear to be an accident or foul play.
OSWEGO, IL —A man found Friday morning with severe burn injuries has died, Oswego police said Saturday. Police identified the man as 53-year-old Homer Wilson of Oswego.
Police were dispatched for a report of a body lying in a snowbank at around 7:55 a.m. Friday in the 2500 block of Route 34 to find a man with severe burns over much of his body and face.
The man, later identified as Wilson, was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries before being airlifted to Loyola, where he died.

An autopsy was conducted Saturday and "no foul play has been indicated nor does it appear to be accidental," police said. The death investigation will remain open until final autopsy results are received, according to police.
Police said they identified the man based on information gathered from the scene as well as information provided by his family.

This appears to be an isolated incident, according to police, who said there is not safety risk to the public.
