KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office has a new Corrections Deputy — Deputy Dalton Misener was sworn in earlier this week.

Misener earned a degree in business administration from Aurora University and worked in the security department at Morris Hospital before he was hired to fill a vacancy in the office's Corrections Division, officials said in a news release.

Undersheriff Bobby Richardson swore in Misener on Tuesday, and he will begin attending the five-week Basic Corrections Training Academy on Monday.

Upon his completion of the academy, Deputy Misener will be "paired with an experienced field training officer for a rigorous 11-week field training program," the news release said.

The Corrections Division is tasked with overseeing the Kendall County Jail, which "provides for the custody of individuals awaiting trial, subjects serving sentences up to one year, and subjects sentenced to periodic imprisonment," according to its website.
