Oswego Police Investigating Email Threatening Thompson Junior HS

An increase in police may be present at the school on Monday, Jan. 7, police said.

OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Police Department is investigating after receiving a report from Community School District 308 at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon regarding an email a Thompson Junior High School staff member received, containing a threat to the school. Oswego police said they investigated the incident and have determined there is no credible threat to students or staff. However, in order to ensure the safety of the school's students and staff, police said they're still investigating the email in cooperation with the district.

An increase in police may be present at the school on Monday, Jan. 7 and the days to come as the investigation continues, according to police.
