Police Blotter: St. Patrick's Day Yields Plenty of Arrests

Friday, March 18

DUI
Jessica Pabon Moti, 32, of 333 Barnaby in Oswego, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use at about 12:30 a.m. after a one-car crash at Matena and Barnaby, according to an Oswego police report. She was given a court date of April 22.

  • A man in the 100 block of North Hampton reported about $788 worth of unauthorized purchases had been made on his credit card, according to an Oswego police report. The charges occurred Feb. 26.
  • A resident in the 400 block of Melrose Avenue in Aurora reported to Oswego police that his debit card was stolen at 2450 Route 34 and several unauthorized charges were made, according to reports.
  • A man in the first block of Clark Avenue in unincorporated Oswego reported to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office that about $17,000 in authorized charges were made to his credit card. Police said they have a suspect in the case.

Domestic battery
Maranda Cole, 22, of 106 Harbor Drive in unincorporated Oswego, was charged with domestic battery at about 11:30 p.m., according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Police said Cole struck a male victim during an argument about living arrangements. A witness verified the victim’s story, according to reports.

Retail Theft
Taquana D. Wilson, 26, of North Aurora, and Taqueesha Fountain, 24, of Aurora, both were charged with retail theft after Oswego police said they attempted to steal less than $150 worth of merchandise from Oswego Walmart. Fountain also was charged on an outstanding warrant and obstructing identification, the report said.

Wednesday, March 16

Marijuana possession
Kevin R. Lockwood, 21, of 230 Parkside, was charged at about 1 a.m. with possession of a controlled substance and possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana after being stopped at Route 34 and Boulder Hill Pass, according to an Oswego police report. He was given an April 27 court date.

Tuesday, March 15

Marijuana possession
Kara Mantzke, 19, 431 Badger Court, and Tyler McNichols, 19, of 11 Brook St., were both charged at about 11 p.m. with possession of marijuana at 2300 Route 34, according to Oswego police. Mantzke also was charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to reports. Both were given April 8 court dates.
