Wednesday, May 22

Theft

Oswego Police are investigating a reported theft that occurred at 12 p.m. at Oswego High School. An iPod valued at $299 was reported stolen.

  • Edgar D. Moreno, 31, of the 100 block of Tealwood Road, Oswego, was arrested at 2:24 p.m. in the 3500 block of Route 34 and charged with a failure to appear warrant for a fireworks charge from July 4, 2012, said Oswego police.
  • Shaun J. Manning, 41, of the 100 block of Fox Chase Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 3 p.m. in the 2500 block of Route 30 and charged with a warrant, said Oswego police.

Sunday, May 19

No valid driver’s license

  • Abraham Orraia, 28, of the 800 block of Prairie Crossing, Yorkville, was arrested at 2:03 a.m. at Route 71 and Regal Oak and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. He was also cited for disobey a stop sign.
  • A female juvenile, 17, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. at Routes 30 and 34 and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. She was also cited for not driving with headlights when required.
  • Jose Baron-Villalobos, 27, of the 0-99 block of Eastfield Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. at Longbeach and Sonora and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.

Angela M. Baugher, 41, of the 500 block of Springbrook Trail North, Oswego, was arrested at 10:04 p.m. at her residence and charged with domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Saturday, May 18                

Warrant

Jason Stevens, 36, of the 2100 block of Belmont, Joliet, was arrested at 9:01 a.m. at Route 34 and Pearces Ford and charged with an in state warrant, said Oswego police.

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police responded to a reported criminal damage to property that occurred between 9:30 a.m. on May 17 and 5 a.m. on May 18 in the 0-99 block of Main Street. Someone had reportedly spray painted on the building.

Unlawful possession of cannabis, drug paraphernalia

Matthew R. Slepicka, 19, of the 300 block of Jackson, Yorkville, was arrested at 9:56 a.m. at Route 34 and Route 71 and charged with the unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police. He was also cited for expired registration and driving with only one headlight.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Valerie M. Serrano, 38, of the 800 block of Kelly Avenue, Joliet, was arrested at 11:05 p.m. at Route 34 and Mason Square and charged for the possession of drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police. She was also cited for driving on a suspended license and failing to signal when required.

No valid driver’s license

Roberto Gutienez-Mendez, 23, of the 1300 block of Royal Drive, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:53 p.m. at Route 34 and 5th Street and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. He was also cited for speeding and no brake lights.

Friday, May 17

Burglary to motor vehicle

Oswego police took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred at 5:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Oswego LA Fitness, 200 block of Ogden Falls. More than $1,500 was reported stolen.

No valid driver’s license

Mikah Wosten, 24, of the 200 block of East New York Street, Aurora, was arrested at 11:18 p.m. at Douglas and Weisbrook and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. He was also cited with speeding.

Retail theft

Oswego police took a report for a retail theft that occurred at 8:15 p.m. at Murphy USA. A white male, about 17, stole two packs of cigarettes valued at $9.95.

Possession of cannabis

A female juvenile, 14, was arrested at 11:12 a.m. in the 400 block of Secretariat, Oswego and charged with the possession of cannabis, said Oswego police.

Deceptive practice

Oswego police are investigating a reported deceptive practice that occurred on July 2, 2012 in which a check in the amount of $659.41 was written from a closed bank account.

Identity theft

  • Oswego police took a report of an identity theft that occurred in Sept. 2012 in which an unknown subject(s) used the victim’s identity without permission, incurring a loss of $939.29.
  • Oswego police took a report of an identity theft that occurred on May 7. The victim reported their social security number was compromised.

Hit and run

Oswego police are investigating a hit and run that occurred at 6:37 p.m. at Route 71 and Main Street. A semi truck struck a stop sign and continued driving.

Theft

Oswego police took a report for theft that occurred at 2 p.m. at Oswego High School. An iPhone valued at $300 was stolen from a bathroom.

Thursday, May 16

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run that occurred between 7 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. in the 4300 block of Route 71. A legally park car was struck. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Oswego Police.

Wednesday, May 15

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police took a report for criminal damage to property that occurred at an unknown time to the gazebo in the Ogden Falls subdivision at Waterbury Circle and Ogden Falls Boulevard. Spray paint was found on the gazebo.

No valid driver’s license

A male juvenile, 16, was arrested at 8:15 a.m. at Route 71 south of Panther Lane and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. He was also cited for speeding.

Identity theft

Oswego police took a report for an identity theft that occurred at an unknown time. The victim reported several charge accounts were opened in their name and stole an amount of $989.
