Wednesday, Aug. 21

Residential burglary

Oswego police took a report for a residential burglary that occurred at 8:13 a.m. in the 200 block of Foster Drive. The victim reported that someone broke into his home.

Driving with revoked license

Mark A. McDowell, 39, of the 15500 block of South Rockwill, Harvey, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. at Route 34 and Pearces Ford and charged for driving with a revoked license, said Oswego police.

Hit and run

Oswego police are investigating a hit and run that occurred at 5:55 p.m. in the 2800 block of Route 34. Damage is estimated at under $500.

No valid driver’s license

Claudia Gandarilla, 27, of the 900 block of Claim Street, Aurora, was arrested at 7:05 a.m. at Route 34 and Prairie Market Drive and charged with driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. She was also cited for speeding.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

Warrant

Kenny M. King, 23, of the 300 block of Springdale Trail, Oswego, was arrested at 9:48 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 on a failure to appear warrant, said Oswego police.

No valid driver’s license

  • Gonzalo Segura, 38, of the 400 block of Lennox Court, Oswego, was arrested at 9:20 p.m. at Route 30 and Briarcliff and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police. He was also cited with failure to signal.
  • Arturo Vazquez-Flores, 31, of the 800 block of Liberty Street, Aurora, was arrested at 9:13 a.m. at Fifth Street and Route 34 and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police. He was also cited with a seatbelt violation.

Monday, Aug. 19

Resisting a peace officer, driving on a suspended license

Marcos A. Mayana, 26, of the 1300 block of Glenn Circle, Aurora, was arrested at 11:42 p.m. at Route 30 and Lincoln Station and charged with resisting a peace officer, driving on a suspended license and not having insurance, said Oswego police.

Warrant

A male juvenile was arrested at 3 a.m. in the 900 block of Jessamine Drive on a warrant for probation violation, said Oswego police.

Theft

  • Oswego police took a report for theft that occurred on Aug. 15 in the 600 block of Salem. The victim reported someone ordered two cell phones on her AT&T account that she did not authorize.
  • Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred on an unknown date at a business in the 2700 block of Route 34. An employee is suspected of stealing $1,251.20 worth of cash and cigarettes.

Sunday, Aug. 18

Warrant

Anthony C. Marvin, 22, of the 3000 block of Iron Leige Lane, Montgomery, was arrested at 12:26 a.m. at Route 25 and Elmwood Drive on a failure to appear warrant, said Oswego police.

Driving with revoked license

Luis Gonzalez, 36, of the 1700 block of Plum Street, Aurora, was arrested at 1:15 a.m. at Route 34 and Kendall Point Drive and charged for driving with a revoked license, said Oswego police.

No valid driver’s license

  • Jarrett T. Fujii, 18, of the 500 block of Truman Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 9:44 p.m. at Manhattan and Century and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police.
  • Erika Sosa, 25, of the 500 block of Roxwod Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 9:08 a.m. at Douglas and Fernwood Roads and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. She was also charged for having no insurance and failure to secure child.

Theft

Oswego police took a report for a retail theft that occurred at 10:40 p.m. at Murphy USA Gas in the 2300 block of Route 34.

Damage to property

  • Oswego police took a report for damage to property that occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Mason’s Raven Lodge in the 0-99 block of Main Street. The emblem on the front window was reported damaged.
  • Oswego police took a report for damage to property that occurred at an unknown time in the 400 block of Badger Lane. A car parked in the driveway was reported scratched.

Saturday, Aug. 17

DUI

Zachary J. Leali, 18, of the 300 block of White Water Lane, Oswego, was arrested at 3:30 a.m. at Arbor Lane and Norway Place and charged with driving under the influence, said Oswego police. He was also cited with improper lane usage.

Theft

Oswego police took a report for a retail theft that occurred at 10:10 p.m. at Murphy USA Gas in the 2300 block of Route 34.

Friday, Aug. 16

Possession of cannabis

Maribel Madrigal, 22, of the 900 block of Spencer Street, Aurora, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Fifth Street and charged with the possession of cannabis, said Oswego police.

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police took a report of criminal damage to property that occurred on Aug. 15 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the 3000 block of Route 34. A vehicle parked in a parking lot was keyed. Damage is not known at this time.

Theft

Oswego police are investigating a retail theft that occurred at 4:27 p.m. in the 2600 block of Route 34. A display iPhone 5 valued at $500 was taken.

Thursday, Aug. 15

DUI

Tony A. Hartness, 28, of the 100 block of Locust, Oswego, was arrested at 11:15 p.m. at Douglas and Long Beach and charged with driving under the influence, said Oswego police. He was also cited with improper lane usage.

Theft

Oswego police took a report for a theft of a display model cell phone that occurred at an unknown time at the Verizon Store in the 2800 block of Route 34. The phone was valued at $639.

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run that occurred at 6:10 p.m. at a parking lot at Oswego East High School. A vehicle backed into another vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied. The vehicle then fled the scene heading westbound.

Warrant

Cameron T. Olson, 18, homeless, was arrested at 7:57 a.m. in the 4500 block of Route 71 on a warrant for probation violation, said Oswego police.
