Domestic battery

Matthew S. Kinzie, 19, of the 300 block of Persimmon Lane, Oswego, was arrested at his residence at 8 p.m. and charged with two counts of domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Possession of cannabis

A male juvenile, 14, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. at Oswego High School and charged with the possession of cannabis, said Oswego police.  

Monday, Sept. 16

No valid driver’s license

Cynthia N. Lara, 20, of the 600 block of LaSalle Street, Aurora, was arrested at 3 p.m. at Douglas and Old Post and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police.

Theft

Oswego police took a report for a theft that occurred on Sept. 12 at a business in the 0-99 block of Stonehill Road. The business reported that numerous batteries and construction equipment parts had been stolen.

Battery

Oswego police are investigating a reported battery that occurred at 11 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Fifth Street.

Saturday, Sept. 14

Possession of drug paraphernalia, cannabis

Peter A. Mirkes, 22, of the 400 block of Madison Street, Oswego, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. at Route 71 and Forest and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis less than 2.5 grams, said Oswego police.

Domestic battery

Oswego police are investigating a domestic battery report that occurred at 4 p.m. in the 100 block of Devoe Street.

Theft

Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred on Aug. 28. The victim reported a forged check.

Friday, Sept. 13

Failure to report sex offender change of address

John B. Nemec, 44, of the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road, Yorkville, was arrested at 4:33 p.m. in the 2700 block of Route 34 and charged with the failure to report sex offender change of address and expired registration, said Oswego police. According to the Illinois State Police Sex Offender website, Nemec was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse of an 8-year-old when he was 33-years-old. The ISP says that Nemec fled his address on registration, in Chicago, without notification.

Domestic battery

A male juvenile, 14, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. in the 400 block of Windsor Drive, Oswego, and charged with domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Theft

Oswego police are investigating the theft of an iPhone valued at $350 that occurred at 2 p.m. on Sept. 11 in the 0-99 block of Franklin.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

Warrant

Joseph R. Bergman, 32, of the 200 block of South Madison, Oswego, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. at Main Street and Douglas Street on a warrant, said Oswego police.

Possession of drug paraphernalia, cannabis

A male juvenile, 13, was arrested in the 400 block of Boulder Hill Pass and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis less than 2.5 grams, said Oswego police. He was released to a parent.
