OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Village Hall will remain closed starting Friday after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. The village was notified on Thursday and the person — who works at the Village Hall — had limited interaction with the public prior to the symptoms and confirmation of illness.

"The Village of Oswego is working in consultation with the Kendall County Health Department to ensure that precautions are being taken to keep employees and the public safe, including notifying those who have been in contact with the individual," the release stated.

Since March, the village has been following state and local health officials’ guidance including increasing cleaning schedules for facilities, screening employees and contractors, and requiring masks during interactions with the public and in common areas to protect staff and the public.
