League Of Women Voters Hosts 'Nature And Neighborhoods' Presentation
Palos Orland League of Women Voters will host a program Saturday, Feb. 8, on the impact of Illinois parks at the Palos Heights Library.
PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — The League of Women Voters of the Palos Orland Area will host its next educational event, “Nature and Neighborhoods: The Impact of Illinois Park Districts,” presented by Suzi Wirtz this Saturday, Feb. 8. Come for hot coffee, cake and conversation at 9:30 a.m. and the presentation starts at 10 a.m. at the Palos Heights Public Library, 12501 S. 71st Ave., Palos Heights.
Wirtz serves as executive director for the Illinois Park and Recreation Association and Foundation. Join the League for an engaging discussion about the critical and unique role park districts play in Illinois, when it comes to enhancing the community and promoting civic engagement.
