PALOS PARK, IL — Super Bowl weekend is here and if you’re planning on having a drink every time the cameras show Taylor Swift cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, Palos Park police remind fans to be an MVP and not drive drunk or high.

Plan for a safe Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 9, not only for your safety and others, but also to avoid penalties. Palos Park police and law-enforcement agencies throughout the area will be out in force to spot unsafe driving. Driving under the influence is the number one cause of traffic crashes and fatalities during the holidays, and Super Bowl weekend is no different.

Super Bowl is one of America’s most highly anticipated sports events, when friends and family gather in homes, bars and restaurants to celebrate. As Super Bowl Sunday approaches and football fans across the area prepare for the game.
