Public Meeting Notice: Planned Sidewalk Along West War Memorial Drive

The city of Peoria will hold an informational meeting later this month to address questions regarding the proposed addition of a sidewalk along West War Memorial Drive from the West Charter Oak Road and North Allen Road intersection to the south of West Cannes Drive.

The meeting will be held at the City’s Public Works facility located at 3505 N. Dries Lane on Monday, October 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. Members of the public who are interested in the project are welcome to attend this meeting. Anyone who has a disability or requires additional accommodations can contact Mandy Mooberry at 309-494-8824 by October 1. The Public Works facility and meeting space is accessible to persons with disabilities.

The meeting will be conducted on an informal basis in an open house format suitable for compliance with social distancing standards. Attendees are required to wear face coverings.

Preliminary exhibits of the proposals under consideration will be available for review. Representatives of the City and Hutchison Engineering, Inc. will be available to discuss the project and answer any questions. Representatives will also record comments offered by those in attendance. Verbatim comments will not be recorded.
