Des Plaines Street Lot Closed For 8-Week Expansion Project

PLAINFIELD - An under way parking lot expansion temporarily changes the entrance for a local community center.

Work started Monday on the north Des Plaines Street Parking Lot, which will remain closed to the public for the next seven weeks, officials said. Meanwhile, those visiting the adjacent Plainfield Township Community Center at 15014 S. Des Plaines St. must enter through the alley to the south.

Additional public parking is available at the Illinois Street Parking Lot, near the Library, and in Plainfield Central High School's north parking lot off of James Street.
