Domestic Disturbance Draws Police, Fire Department In Plainfield

Police said a woman in custody was taken for a psychiatric evaluation.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Neighbors were reporting a police presence, including several police cars and an ambulance, Thursday morning in the White Ash Farm subdivision. A spokesman for the Plainfield Fire Protection District told Patch there was a report of a "traumatic injury" at a home in the 12000 block of Red Clover Lane.

Plainfield police said a knife may have been involved in the incident, but no one was believed to be seriously injured. Police said a female resident was in custody and was being taken for a psychiatric evaluation.

One neighbor told Patch a woman was taken out of the home in handcuffs.
