Edward-Elmhurst Health: SHARE hosts 16th Annual “A Walk to Remember”

SHARE's 16th Annual "A Walk to Remember" on Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion in downtown Naperville.

More than 1,100 people took part in SHARE’s 16th Annual “A Walk to Remember” on Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion in downtown Naperville.

SHARE is a support group at Edward Hospital (Naperville) for those who have experienced a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or neonatal death. The event featured a memorial service in which the names of 225 babies were read, followed by a one-and-a-half mile walk.

Walk proceeds support SHARE’s counseling services, bereavement training and education, and the Wings of Hope Angel Garden at Edward Hospital, an outdoor space that was designed as a place where grieving parents can seek peace and comfort, as well as memorialize their child.
