Edward-Elmhurst Health welcomes Shahid Ahsan, MD

Shahid Ahsan, MD, a board-certified pulmonologist, critical care physician and sleep medicine specialist, has joined Edward-Elmhurst Medical Group.

Dr. Ahsan earned his medical degree from Nishtar Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital, sleep disorders medicine fellowship at The University of Chicago and fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Nebraska (Omaha).

Dr. Ahsan is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and can also speak Spanish. His clinical interests include asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic cough, interstitial lung diseases, sarcoidosis, lung nodules, cancer and tumors, pulmonary function testing, critical illness and sleep disorders.
