Halloween Enforcement Planned By Plainfield Police Department

Police will participate in a "Click It or Ticket" campaign to promote safe driving before and during Halloween weekend.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Police Department is launching an enforcement campaign Friday, this time centered around Halloween.

The "Click It or Ticket" effort, paid for using funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation, will run through Nov. 3. Halloween falls on a Friday this year.

Police are urging drivers to buckle up and follow traffic laws as children and their families prepare to haunt their neighborhoods after dark for candy and spooky fun.

The campaign in Plainfield will be reinforced by IDOT's "It's Not a Game" initiative, spotlighting safe driving and highway safety across the state, according to a news release.
