PLAINFIELD, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Hero's job: Confirmation Director for St. Mary Immaculate Parish
Relationship to nominee:Co-Worker
Reason for recognition: Georgette has been involved in helping with the Northern IL Mobile Food Pantry/Catholic Charities food give away. Helps with organizing volunteers, puts advertising together. She even called a local produce store to get fruits/vegetables for this.
One thing to know: Very kind spirit. She goes the extra mile in everything she does. Connected with a local insurance agent to get donation to get bread from a local bakery. She is passionate about helping the needy. It started out with one truck a month and then went to two.
