Plainfield PD Hosts 5K To Raise Money For Special Olympics
The Plainfield Police Department's goal is to raise $5,000 through the Torch Run for Special Olympics.
PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Police Department will host a 5K on June 6 to raise money for Special Olympics.
The Torch Run for Special Olympics will take place at 8:30 a.m. that Friday at Settlers' Park, 24401 W. Lockport St.
The cost to register is $20 and covers a Special Olympics t-shirt, which runners will receive at the event. Plainfield police are hoping to raise $5,000 for the organization.

Registration can be completed online, in person at Plainfield Police Department headquarters, 14300 Coil Plus Drive, or on the day of the race.
