Share Your Opinion on the Will County Bikeway Plan
The bikeway plan identifies areas where non-motorized transportation opportunities can be expanded throughout Will County and beyond.

The first ever Will County Bikeway Plan will be available for public review and comment beginning Aug. 31 on the Forest Preserve District’s website, ReconnectWithNature.org.
After the public comment period ends on Sept. 30, the plan will go to the District’s Board of Commissioners for approval, which is expected at the Nov. 10 meeting. The bikeway plan identifies areas where non-motorized transportation opportunities can be expanded throughout Will County and beyond. Greenways, roadways and utility corridors were all reviewed as possible sites for bicycle access improvements.
While some bikeway corridors already exist in the county, a comprehensive planning guide was needed to improve clarity between multiple user groups and levels of government. The goals of the plan are to expand transportation choices, enhance connectivity, improve safety and comfort, and promote bicycling benefits.
