Tell us about your star student's accomplishments and why they deserve to be recognized on Patch!
Holden is a young musician in Plainfield, IL, who plays a variety of Americana rock covers from artists such as Mumford and Sons, Zac Brown Band, BoDeans, The Lumineers, as well as other popular songs. He also writes and performs his own music. At 11 years old, he has been performing in public for almost 3 years and typically performs 4-5 times per month at open mics, gigs, or other shows. Last summer, he released four songs on Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, etc., and is working on his first album. Notable appearances last year include performing at the Homegrown Arts and Music Festival, The Bitter Jester Music Festival as a guest artist, The Taste of Westmont, and HomerFest.
He recently performed the music for the Chicago Blackhawks' Name That Tune segment as part of their "Best Day Ever" event, which had over 20,000 in attendance. In addition to maintaining a 4.0 grade average, Holden continues to perform regularly and has once again been invited to be a guest artist at the Bitter Jester Music Festival and has been accepted to attend a youth songwriting camp conducted by the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. He loves performing, and his passion and dedication have brought him some amazing opportunities.
