All Romeoville Municipal Buildings To Close, Starting Wednesday
Starting March 18, all public buildings in the village, including Village Hall and the Rec Center, will be closed until March 29.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville announced today that it would be closing all municipal buildings to the public starting Wednesday, March 18. Facilities to be closed include Village Hall, Public Works, the Recreation Center and the Athletic & Event Center. The closures are part of the ongoing effort to slow the spread of coronavirus infection, and come after numerous declarations of emergency from federal, state and local officials.
As part of the closure, village staff confirmed that the Romeoville Village Board Meeting scheduled for March 18 has also been cancelled.
At the moment, the closure is only expected to last until March 29, a total of 11 days. While the buildings will be closed to the public, village staff will continue to work on-site with normal business hours and will maintain all essential operations. Village residents can still dial 911 in case of emergencies and can call (815) 886-7200 to set up an appointment for any necessary in-person services.

Polling locations will remain open for election day, March 17.
Village residents are encouraged to use e-services at the Romeoville village website, pay their bills by phone by calling 1-844-535-2613, and/or to make use of the bill payment drop box outside of Village Hall at 1050 W. Romeo Road.

During this period, no water service will be shut off for failure to pay the water bill. As the coronavirus situation continues to change, the village will continue to share updates via the village website and on social media. Residents are encouraged to sign-up for notifications via the website, and to follow the village's social media accounts.
