Construction Site Theft, Residential Burglary, Stolen TV's: Romeoville Police Blotter

Incidents reported by the Romeoville police from May 16-28.

May 16

A resident of the 400 block of Susan reported a burglary to motor vehicle at 8:46 p.m., police said. A car stereo was stolen from a car parked in the driveway of the residence. The estimated cost of the stereo is $135.00.

May 19

A resident of the 2000 block of Sutcliffe Ct. reported a residential burglary at 3:20 p.m., police said. A door knob, interior door and basement window were damaged. Nothing was missing from the residence. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $200.

May 22

A worker at a construction site located on South Weber Road reported a burglary at 7:33 a.m., police said. Someone removed the lock from a trailer and took a laser transit and a generator. The estimated value of the items is $4,500.

A resident of the 100 block of Amberleigh reported a burglary to motor vehicle at 3:46 p.m., police said. Someone took a car stereo from a car parked in the driveway of the residence. The estimated value of the stereo is $1,800.

May 24

A business in the 300 block of South Weber Road reported a retail theft at 11:55 a.m., police said. Someone entered the electronics section and left with a television without paying for it. The cost of the television is $529.99.

May 28

A business in the 300 block of South Weber Road reported a retail theft at 5:43 p.m., police said. Someone entered the electronics section and left with a television without paying for it. The estimated cost of the television is $1,000.
