Founder's Day Parade Steps Off Sunday In Romeoville

The theme for this year's parade is "Passport to Adventure," and features 47 participants.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The annual Founder's Day Parade will be held on Sunday, stepping off at 2 p.m. from Belmont Drive and Romeo Road, the Village shared on its Facebook page.

The theme for this year's parade is "Passport to Adventure," and features 47 participants, including grand marshal the Forest Preserve District of Will County/The Nature Foundation of Will County. The parade will begin at Belmont and Romeo, traveling north to Montrose Drive, to Arlington Drive, to Dalhart Avenue and ending at Alexander Circle, according to the Village.

Homes along or near the parade line-up are asked to remove any vehicles from the street between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, the Village said. During the parade time, vehicles will not be able to enter or leave the streets along the parade route.
