Local Hair Salon Celebrates 30 Years In Business: Romeoville
Romeoville officials cut a red ribbon at Lou's Styling Place on Tuesday, honoring the local business for its three decades of operation.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Mayor John Noak and other village officials visited Lou's Styling Place on 225 W. Romeo Road on Tuesday, Dec. 10 to celebrate the hair salon's 30th year in business. Lou's opened in 1989 and has been tending the hair of Romeoville residents ever since.
"We had a ribbon cutting and a commemoration of their 30th anniversary," Mayor John Noak said.
Besides cutting the ribbon, village officials also offered Lou's a plaque commemorating their three decades in the neighborhood.

"We typically give a plaque and have a little short program every time we have an event with the Chamber [of Commerce]... typically anytime anybody has a ribbon cutting or anniversary, we usually give them a plaque," Noak said.
The owner of Lou's did not respond to calls for comment.
