Pioneer Kindergartners Sing Carols To Office Staff: Video

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Kindergartners at Pioneer Elementary School in the Valley View School District sang Christmas carols to office staff Friday, officials said, as a way to say thank you to those that answer phones, address parents' concerns, direct visitors to where they need to go and accept food deliveries at the school.

"The Pioneer kindergartners are very fond of the ladies that work in the school office," the district wrote on Facebook. "As a way to show their appreciation, the students visited the office to serenade the office staff with a selection of holiday tunes."

Officials called the office workers "the backbone that make our schools work."
