Romeoville Offering CPR, First Aid Training This Fall

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Fire Academy is offering a number of CPR and first aid training classes to the public. The classes are aimed at training child care staff, babysitters and new/expecting parents with lifesaving techniques.

Classes will be held September through December and will offer a number of courses in each category. Prices range from $64-$74 and the classes will be held at Romeoville Fire Station No. 3, 698 N. Birch Ln.

Pediatric CPR & First Aid

This course teaches the participants how to perform CPR, relieving foreign body airway obstructions, and basic first-aid for children and infants. Course is perfect for childcare staff, babysitters, and new/expecting parents.

• Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost: $64.00
• Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. Cost: $64.00

Basic Life Support
This course teaches both single rescuer and team basic life support skills for in pre-hospital and in-facility environments focusing on high quality CPR and team dynamics.

• Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. Cost: $74.00

Heartsaver
This course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR, using CPR barrier devices, helping choking victims, and cardiac automatic defibrillators (AED).
