Romeoville Police Plan Roadside Safety Checks On Friday
The safety checks are intended to promote the safety and well-being of the motoring public, police said.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — As we head into Memorial Day weekend, the Romeoville Police Department said it will conduct roadside safety checks in the Village on Friday.
Police said the checks are "intended to promote the safety and well-being of the motoring public and serve as a deterrent to those who violate laws pertaining to the safe operation of a vehicle."
Enforcement will focus on defective equipment, license or permit violations, proof of insurance, seatbelt usage, and alcohol or drug violations, according to police.
