Romeoville Resident Wins Honorable Mention In Photo Contest

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Romeoville resident's photo was awarded an honorable mention in the Will County Forest Preserve District's Preserve the Moment Photo Contest in December.

Mark Hanna captured a bevy of bullfrogs in a pond at Lockport Prairie in Lockport Township.

The photo contest ended on Dec. 31 with a total of eight winners throughout the year. People could vote online to determine the top three photos from the monthly winners on the District’s Facebook page. The top three photos will advance to a final round and voters have until Jan. 18 to pick the winning photo.

Overall winners will receive MasterCard gift cards worth $500 for first place, $250 for second place and $150 for third place. Monthly photo contest winners received $75 gift cards. The photo contest is sponsored by The Nature Foundation of Will County.
