ROMEOVILLE, IL — Thursday evening's Rockin' The Ville concert has been canceled due to inclement weather, the Village shared on its Facebook page.

The concert, which was set to begin at 7 p.m., was featuring Horizon.

Romeoville remains under a heat advisory until 10 p.m. Thursday. Peak afternoon heat index values of 110 are expected, according to the National Weather Service.

The heat and humidity could also help fuel strong to severe storms Thursday afternoon into the evening, mainly southeast of a Waukegan to Peru line. The primary risk with the storms is locally damaging winds up to 65 mph, according to the weather service.
