Stolen Car, Residential Burglary, Smashed Windows: Romeoville Police Blotter

June 2

A resident of the 100 block of Highpoint Drive reported a residential burglary at 4 p.m., police said. Someone entered the residence and stole two laptop computers, two game consoles, video games and peripheral devices. The estimated cost of the items taken is $3,099.95.

June 3 

A resident of the 500 block of Pullman reported a criminal damage to property at 12:02 p.m., police said. Someone scratched all the painted panels of the resident’s vehicle while it was parked. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $7,000.

A resident of the 2000 block of Tilson reported a criminal damage to property at 5:33 p.m., police said. The driver’s side rear window of a car that was parked in the street was broken out. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $100.

A resident of the 100 block of Highpoint Drive reported a motor vehicle theft at 5:37 p.m., police said.  The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys in it and was taken from the parking lot. The estimated value is $3,000.

June 4 

A resident of the 1700 block of Sierra Trail reported a criminal damage to property at 4:43 p.m., police said.  The driver’s side window of the resident’s vehicle was shattered by using an unknown object. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $250.
