Stolen Purses, Car Burglaries: Romeoville Police Blotter
Incidents reported to Romeoville police from May 18 to 31.

May 18
A resident of the 200 block of Kirman reported a criminal defacement of property at 10:27 a.m., police said. A vehicle and cargo trailer that was parked in front of the residence was damaged with spray paint. The estimated cost to remove the damage is $20.
A resident of the 0-100 block of Harmony Lane reported a criminal damage to property at 11:20 a.m., police said. The driver’s and passenger’s side windows of a car parked next to the garage were broken. The cost to repair the damage is $240.
May 19
A resident of the 700 block of North Sleepy Hollow reported a burglary to motor vehicle at 11:01 a.m., police said. A purse with its contents was stolen from an unlocked car that was parked in the driveway of the residence. The estimated value of the purse and contents is $91.
May 30
A business in the 300 block of South Weber Road reported a retail theft at 11:19 a.m., police said. An unknown person entered the electronics section and left with a television without paying for it. The cost of the merchandise is $500.
A resident of the 100 block of Yarrow Ct. reported a burglary from motor vehicle at 4:10 p.m., police said. A purse was taken from an unlocked car parked in an open garage. The purse was recovered; however, the contents of the wallet were missing. Estimated cost of the missing items is $40.
May 31
A resident of the 100 block of Malibu Driver reported two burglaries to motor vehicles at 11:42 a.m., police said. Several sets of car keys, vehicle titles, a duffle bag, miscellaneous tools, I-Passes and a radio faceplate were stolen from two vehicles that were parked in the street near the home. The estimated value for the items is $1,103.
