Valley View R-Learning Starts April 7: Assistant Superintendent

Valley View School District Superintendent Rachel Kinder issued a reminder to parents on Friday, that remote learning starts Tuesday.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Valley View's Assistant Superintendent For Schools sent out a message to parents on Friday, reminding them that the school district's home-learning programs will start Tuesday, April 7. In the weeks prior to the start of this program, the district had delivered electronic learning devices to many students, and put information on the district website regarding what parents can expect of home-learning through April.

Here is Kinder's message in full:


First, we want to express our appreciation for the efforts of our entire Valley View Community who have come together in these uncertain times. Our community’s ability to adapt and help each other is clearly evident and greatly appreciated. In accordance with the directive of Governor Pritzker, all Valley View Schools will be closed through Thursday, April 30. Classes are tentatively scheduled to resume on Friday, May 1.

I also want to remind you VVSD student remote learning begins on Tuesday, April 7. Assignments, learning resources, attendance checks and communication will be sent to students using a variety of digital methods. Information about rLearning can be found on our website at www.vvsd.org/rLearning.
