Criminal Hits O'Reilly Auto Parts Store On Route 59, Shorewood Police Enlist Neighboring Departments For Help
Shorewood police had several police officers and squad cars converge upon the Home Depot shopping center.

SHOREWOOD, IL — The Shorewood Police Department was enlisting help from area departments, including Channahon and Elwood, Wednesday night in connection with an apparent crime inside the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store on Route 59 near Black Road. Joliet Patch saw two other police officers with a scent-tracking police dog walking through one of the nearby subdivisions behind the Home Depot and the ALDI grocery store.
Closer to Route 59, at the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store, the business was closed as several Shorewood police officers were walking in and out of the building. Near the Home Depot, two more police cars, including one from Elwood, were parked and empty, as the officers may have been canvassing the nearby area in search of a suspect or suspects.
Joliet Patch has reached out to the top command staff of Shorewood's Police Department and this story will be updated on Thursday morning once more details of the O'Reilly Auto Parts store crime are known.
