Shorewood Dad Spent 'Countless Hours' Coaching Daughter

SHOREWOOD, IL— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Shorewood, meet Nick Gaudio.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Liv Gaudio who nominated Nick Gaudio of Shorewood.

What makes your dad extra special?

My dad is my biggest supporter in everything I do but especially softball. He has spent countless hours coaching me, practicing with me, and encouraging me! He is at every game, recording me on his phone so we can go back later and watch my swings together. He is always texting me words of encouragement or drill videos to watch so that I can keep improving. He is funny and loving and such a supportive dad!

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

Because he always puts me, my mom and my baby sister before himself. He always makes sure we are taken care of and happy.
