Ringo The Bulldog Mystery Widens: Dog Has Not Been Found Anywhere In Shorewood
Ringo the dog escaped from a potential adopter's yard in Shorewood earlier this week near the Shorewood Public Library.

SHOREWOOD, IL — One of the biggest missing dog stories of the year in the Joliet area has been unfolding this week in Shorewood, and the mystery continues to widen. The Will County Humane Society has made several Facebook posts this week, and none of their efforts have resulted in any success. The whereabouts of Ringo the bulldog remain unknown.
"He escaped from a potential adopter's yard Shorewood by the Shorewood Troy Library," the Will County Humane Society shared a few days ago. "WCHS does know that he was hit by a car on Tuesday evening. He may be injured and hiding in back yards.
"Please check your yards, decks and sheds. If seen, please call and text as soon as possible. Do not try to catch or chase. The Will County Humane Society asks people who spot Ringo to call 815-922-1306.

He had escaped the fence of a home on Brookshore Drive, the animal adoption agency noted.
"So we have been canvassing behind Home Depot west all the way to River Road. We need a new sighting to help narrow it in. Hoping someone in the neighborhood spots him soon."
In Friday's follow-up Facebook post, the Will County Humane Society implored everyone, "do not call out or follow or chase. He will run further. Thank you."
