Semitrailer Flips, Bursts Into Flames Killing 1 In Early Morning Skokie Crash
A semitrailer rolled over and caught fire on the Edens Expressway early Tuesday morning in Skokie, killing one and hospitalizing another.

SKOKIE, IL —A fiery crash that flipped a semitrailer killed one person and hospitalized another early Tuesday morning on the Edens Expressway in Skokie, according to reports.
The crash happened just before 4 a.m. in the southbound lanes north of Touhy Avenue. Illinois State Police told the Chicago Sun-Times that a semitrailer flipped over for unknown reasons and caught fire.
Officials said one person was pronounced dead due to sustaining life-threatening injuries. Another person was taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.

The southbound lanes were shut down following the crash, but opened back up at 8 a.m. No additional information was immediately available.
