1 Dead In Skokie Single-Vehicle Crash

A single-vehicle collision in Skokie Wednesday morning killed one of three occupants.

SKOKIE, IL — A single-vehicle crash in Skokie early Wednesday morning claimed the life of a 16-year-old male juvenile, Skokie police confirmed Thursday. Police did not disclose the identity of the victim but said that the driver and another occupant did not sustain serious injuries.

Skokie police officers and fire department personnel responded to the 8900 block of Skokie Blvd. at around 3:50 a.m., according to a news release from the police department. Crews determined that one occupant was fatally injured.

The crash is being investigated by the Skokie Police Department, the Cook County State's Attorney's Office and the Major Crash Assistance Team — which is composed of a multi-jurisdictional team of experienced and trained crash investigators from several local law enforcement agencies.
