3 Arrested, 110 Cited During Memorial Day Traffic Safety Enforcement In Skokie
Over Memorial Day weekend, Skokie police issued 110 citations and arrested three people.

SKOKIE, IL — The Skokie Police Department cited 110 people over Memorial Day weekend during the "Click It or Ticket" enforcement period.
During the enforcement period, police wrote 11 citations for seat belt violations and arrested three people for traffic violations.
“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and spread the word that seat belts save lives,” said Sergeant Melissa Russell.

Additionally, police issued citations for the following:
- Three traffic arrests
- 13 uninsured motorist citations
- 41 speeding citations
- 13 distracted driving citations
- 29 other citations
The "Click It or Ticket" campaign was funded with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
