$450,000 Still Unclaimed From Winning Ticket Sold In Skokie A Year Ago

Whoever's got the ticket has three weeks to claim the nearly half-million dollar prize before it expires.

SKOKIE, IL — A winning lottery ticket worth $450,000 is set to expire this month unless someone claims it.

The Lucky Day Lotto ticket was sold June 26, 2023, at Kostner Korner, 4356 W. Howard St. in Skokie, and won the jackpot during the midday drawing lottery officials said.

Winners have one year from the date of the original drawing to claim their prize.

So Illinois lottery officials encouraged anyone who who might have an old lottery ticket purchased at the Skokie convenience store tucked to check their coat pockets, old books, glove compartments or anywhere else they might have stashed it.

Eight other unclaimed jackpot tickets worth more than $6 million combined are also still unclaimed. The largest outstanding prize is a $4.1 million Lotto ticket sold last month at a BP gas station in La Grange.

The Illinois Lottery is presently operated by a Switzerland-based investment group whose operations in the state have been branded as Allwyn North America since last year.
