A-Ok Gourmet Has Moved; Skokie Strip Mall Has Vacancies
The strip mall on Dempster, also vacated by the Hadassah resale shop and the Four Cohns shoe store, is left with four tenants.
Update: The original story stated A-OK Gourmet had closed; in fact, it has moved. There were no signs indicating such and an Internet search turned up nothing; however, Patch apologizes for the error.
Updated story:
A-OK Gourmet, a deli restaurant featuring high quality, handmade salads and sandwiches, has moved from a strip mall in the 5000 block of Dempster to 3411 Dempster.
It leaves the strip mall in which it was formerly located, on the north side of Dempster in the 5000 block, with multiple vacancies. The Hadassah resale shop and Four Cohns' Shoes, which were longtime tenants in the strip mall, are also gone.
A smoke shop, a hair salon and two insurance agencies, State Farm and Allstate, are the only remaining tenants. The strip mall is directly across the street from the Yellow Line station.
