Also, there were two DUI arrests, a stolen wallet at Starbucks, Christmas decorations were stolen, and more. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

  • Criminal Damage to Property on the 4900 block of Elm Street, between November 17th at 12:00 p.m. and November 22nd at 5:00 p.m.  Reported:  11/24/2013. An unknown person(s) used a sharp object to scratch the rear of a Chevrolet.
  • Criminal Damage to Property on the 4800 block of Main Street, between November 22ndat 12:00 p.m. and November 25th at 9:30 a.m.  Reported:  11/25/2013. An unknown person(s) used a black marker to write “ICOPS” on the door to the business.

Theft

  • Theft on the 4800 block of Elm Street, between November 10th at 10:00 a.m. and November 24th at 11:00 a.m.  Reported:  11/24/2013. An unknown person(s) removed a drain cover from the rear yard.
  • Theft on the 7800 block of Kolmar Avenue, on November 24th between 2:00 p.m. and 6:33 p.m.  Reported:  11/24/2013. An unknown person(s) stole Christmas decorations from the front lawn. 
  • Theft at 4999 Old Orchard Road, Starbucks at Barnes and Noble, on November 25th between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Reported:  11/25/2013. An unknown person(s) stole the victim’s wallet from inside her purse.

  • Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 5300 block of Old Orchard Road, on November 24th between 1:30 p.m. and 2: 40 p.m.  Reported:  11/24/2013. An unknown person(s) broke the front passenger window and stole a purse from inside the vehicle.

Deceptive Practices

  • Deceptive Practices at 4999 Old Orchard Road, North Face, a M/B subject 25 to 30 years of age 5’6” to 5’9” tall, 150-160 pounds wearing camouflage pants and a camouflage jacket attempted to purchase four jackets using a fraudulent gift card.  When asked for identification the subject took the card and left the store.

  • Hernandez-Reyes, Ernesto, 32, 1600 block of N. Lockwood, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Driving with No Valid Driver’s License on the 4600 block of Dempster Street, on 11/25/2013.
