66 Coronavirus Cases, 3 Deaths Reported In Skokie
Three Skokie residents had died from COVID-19 as of Saturday, according to the health department.

SKOKIE, IL — A total of 66 cases of the coronavirus and three deaths have been reported among Skokie residents as of Saturday. The three fatalities include one man and two women, all in their 80s, but cases have been reported in individuals as young as 3 months old, according to the village.
The first victim of the virus from Skokie was a man in his 80s with underlying health conditions whose death was confirmed Monday. The village is not identifying those who have died from COVID-19 due to confidentiality concerns.
The Skokie Health Department is collaborating with the Illinois Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to investigate all cases of the virus, according to the village.

On Saturday, IDPH reported 465 new cases of coronavirus disease and 13 deaths in Illinois over the previous 24 hours. That included the two Skokie women who died.

This brings the total number of cases in Illinois to 3,491 in 43 counties, including 47 deaths. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to 99 years. A total of 1,003 of these cases and 16 of the deaths were in suburban Cook County.
