Endangered Elderly Skokie Woman Has Been Missing For 2 Weeks: Police

SKOKIE, IL — Police are continuing to search for a Skokie woman who has been missing for two weeks.

Tsering Wangyal, 82, was last spotted at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave., in Evanston around 6 p.m. on July 15, police said.

Wangyal, who goes by the nickname “Dolma," was last seen wearing a dark-colored, long-sleeved cardigan, light pants and multi-colored Crocs, according to an endangered elderly missing person alert issued Thursday.

She was described as 5 feet, 1 inches tall and 160 pounds with gray hair, brown eyes and glasses.

Police asked anyone with information on Wangyal's whereabouts, or anyone who sees someone matching her description, to call 911 immediately. The Skokie Police Department's non-emergency line is 847-982-5900.

Wangyal, who does not drive, is believed to have been trying to take a bus to the Tibetan Alliance of Chicago community center on Dempster and McCormick in Evanston, her family members told WLS.
