The Great Salami Drive at Kaufmans

Kaufman;s Bakery & Delicatessen, 4905 W. Dempster St., one of Chicagoland's most famous delis, has announced it will launch "The Great Salami Drive" this Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12 from 12pm-5pm.

The fundraiser will send one-pound of salami and other deli items to Illinois troops deployed overseas.

"We are so excited to hoist this wonderful event," said Bette Dworkin, co-owner of Kaufman's Bagel & Delicatessen. "We're sending 'A Taste of Home' to our soldiers who are overseas, away from family, and have given so much. It's the least we can do."
