Father of Skokie Man Killed by Metra Train Sues Railroads

Sun You, father of a Skokie man killed by a Metra train last year in Morton Grove, filed a wrongful death lawsuit Tuesday, accusing Metra of not having proper protections for pedestrians crossing the tracks near the station, Morton Grove Champion reported.

The lawsuit, which is seeking at least $200,000 in damages, claims there were no barriers or warning signs posted in the area where Milwaukee District/ North Line train hit Danny You, 38, around 6 p.m. on July 17, 2012, the newspaper reported.
