• Criminal Damage to Property on the 9700 block of Crawford Avenue, between October 1stat 8:45 p.m. and October 2nd 11:00 a.m.  Reported:  10/02/2013. An unknown person(s) threw a large rock and shattered the windshield of a parked car.

• Criminal Damage to Property on the 8000 block of St. Louis Avenue, on September 13th between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.  Reported:  10/02/2013. An unknown person(s) caused damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.

• Criminal Damage to Property on the 4900 block of Crain Street, between October 2nd at 1:30 and October 3rd at 12:00 p.m.  Reported:  10/03/2013. An unknown person(s) damaged a windshield on a Toyota Camry.

• Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories on the 9000 block of Lamon Avenue, between September 12th at 6:00 p.m. and September 13th at 3:00 p.m.  Reported:  10/02/2013 An unknown person(s) stole the front license plate from a Nissan Pathfinder.

• Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories on the 8200 block of Skokie Boulevard, between July 1st at 5:30 p.m. and September 14th at 8:20 p.m.  Reported:  10/02/2013. An unknown person(s) stole the front license plate from a Nissan Murano.

• Theft on the 4800 block of Mulford Street, on October 1st between 3:14 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.  Reported:  10/02/2013. An unknown person stole a pair of Nike Flynit basketball shoes that had been delivered and dropped off in the front lobby area.

• Theft on the 4600 block of Main Street, between September 26th at 3:39 p.m. and October 3rd at 3:59 p.m.  Reported:  10/03/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a white Apple I Pod Mini from the front of the residence.

Financial Exploitation of Elderly or Disabled

• Financial Exploitation of Elderly or Disabled on the 3900 block of Main Street, on October 3rd at 11:45 a.m.  Reported:  10/03/2013. An unknown person called the victim portraying to be a police officer asking for money to bond out his granddaughter.  The victim was asked to wire money to New York, and did.  The victim later discovered that this was a scam. 

Aggravated Assault

• Aggravated Assault on the 3300 block of Oakton Street, on October 3rd between 11:40 a.m. and 11:44 a.m.  Reported:  10/03/2013. An unknown male Hispanic, 30-35 years of age with short black hair, mustache & beard driving a beige or light brown Honda threatened to shoot another driver during a traffic dispute.  No gun was displayed but the suspect threatened to “break” the victim’s car and displayed a black metal object, possibly a tire iron.  The suspect fled the area before police arrived.

• Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 5600 block of Old Orchard Rd., between October 1st at 9:00 a.m. and October 3rd at 11:00 a.m.  Reported:  10/03/2013. An unknown person(s) broke out the rear driver’s side window on a Ford and stole $200 and clothing.
