Here's what's happening in Skokie Tuesday. Oct. 22.
- Ready for a riveting play that touches on hot-button social issues? "Defamation" is presented at Oakton Community College at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The audience becomes the jury.
- Famous Chicago mystery novelist Sara Paretsky appears at Barnes & Noble Wednesday evening for a book signing of her latest, "Critical Mass." 7 p.m. at the Old Orchard location.
- From 3 to 6 p.m., business owners and managers can join the Skokie, Morton Grove, Niles, Park Ridge, Des Plaines and other chambers of commerce at a Multi-Chamber Expo at Victoria in the Park in Mount Prospect.
- Looking ahead: Register for Friday's Skokie Chamber of Commerce Annual Legislative Forum breakfast featuring U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, state legislators and more. 7:30 to 9:30 at the Evanston Golf Club on Dempster in Skokie.
