'New Skokie' is Chock Full Of Information You Can Use

The August edition of New Skokie is out, and is chock full of information, ranging from profiles of village trustees to licenses and permits you need to fun events going on all month. 

How's your cholesterol doing? Get a Simple Cholesterol Screening from the Skokie Health Department from 2 to 4 p.m. at 5127 Oakton Street. $6 fee. You can also get a blood pressure screening from 9 a.m. to noon. A body composition analysis and blood lead screening require appointments. 

Got a teen in grades six through 12? The Manga/Anime Appreciation Club meets at 7 p.m. at the Skokie Library. Japanese snacks will be served. Heck, I'd go just for that, domo arigato.
